Born on October 4, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Pearl McRary. Bleaka was a devoted wife, a loving sister, a cherished aunt, and a faithful servant of God whose life reflected love and compassion. Though she had no children of her own, she poured her heart into her nieces and nephews, loving them as her own. As a sister, she was a joy. Known for her warm spirit, she never met a stranger and was a friend to all who crossed her path. She found peace and happiness in reading, tending to her flowers, spending time reading, and watching the birds. Her presence in the church and her dedication to helping others in the community will be deeply missed, but her legacy of kindness and faith will live on in the hearts of many.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Doris McRary, Keith McCrary, and Margaret McRary and brother-n-law, Richard Hollar.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Monte Hollar; siblings: Ray McRary (Nancy), Carlene Deal (Larry); sister-in-law, Judy McRary; brothers-in-law, Donnie Hollar (Carolyn), Mickey Hollar and her beloved nieces and nephews: Tammy Camp (Gary), John McCrary, Kim Knepp (Brian), Darren McCrary (Sarah), Buffy Campbell, Kristy Hollar, Timothy Hollar (Dominique), Kelly Hefner (Trey) and Allen Deal. She also leaves behind many great-nieces and nephews, as well as great-great-nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. Bleaka was a lifelong member of Ebenezer Methodist Church (EMC) in Granite Falls, NC, where she faithfully served as lay leader, Sunday School teacher, and choir member.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2026 in the EMC Sanctuary.
