Bobby Lee Autrey

Bobby Lee Autrey 72, of Hickory, NC went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 5th, 2026, at The Greens at Viewmont surrounded by his loved ones.

Born May 4th, 1954, in Burke County, NC, Bobby was the son of the late Bobby Hugh Autrey, and Anna Elizabeth Carpenter Autrey. Bobby loved watching his western movies. He loved his diet soda and his Copenhagen. He was loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Autrey; 4 brothers, Henry “Hotrod” Dwayne Autrey, William Autrey, Kenneth Autrey and Jeffery Autrey; 3 sisters, Deborah Lynn Greer, Patricia Ann Pierce and Mary Jane Johnson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his niece, Katie Autrey and husband, Charles Dameron; 3 great nieces, Katie Scarlette, Dixie Melody and Harley Anna.

Family and friends will hold a graveside service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Bobby’s name.
