HICKORY - Bob Scronce 85, of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on December 15, 2022.
Bob was born on May 1, 1937 in Catawba County to the late Albert Lee and Edith Suggs Scronce. He worked in the furniture most of his life where he retired. Bob cherished his family and his dog, Lady.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise of 61 years; an infant daughter, Camellia Evon Scronce; brothers, Dewey Scronce, Johnnie Scronce; and a sister, Betty Hoyle.
Survivors include his son, Jeffrey Scronce (Vickie) of Connelly Springs; grandchildren, Lisa Scronce, Jacob Scronce; siblings, Ora Dellinger, Jean Bentley, Dean Scronce, Glenda Edmondson, Patty Neill; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 12 PM at Catawba Funeral Home with Pastor Dean Hart officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 AM -12 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Winklers Grove Baptist Church Senior Stars or Catawba County Humane Society.
