Brenda Gail Gouge Schneider, 65, of Hickory, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2013, at her residence. Born in McDowell County on April 29, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Brown Gouge and Belle Grindstaff Gouge. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 32 years, Guenther Schneider; daughters, Angela Chambers and husband, William Lee Chambers of Granite Falls, and Holly Getten of Cornelius; grandchildren, Chloe Getten and Kendall Getten; stepsons, Guenther Schneider, Jr. of Florida and Wilson Schneider of Germany; and step-grandchildren, Juanita and Stephen Schneider.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2013 in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Hickory with Pastor Scott Hooks officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
