HICKORY – Brenda Ramsey Pitts, 75 of Hickory went to be with the Lord on April 29, 2025.
Brenda was born on August 26, 1949 in Baltimore, MD to the late William and Ruby West Ramsey. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother (Nannie), and friend to all who knew her. Brenda was an avid bowler who won a state championship in the early 1980s. She enjoyed playing softball, was a pitcher and loved watching golf. Brenda worked for Joan Fabrics for 28 years and retired from NC Department of Corrections.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Gail Ramsey, beloved son-in-law, Rodney Dennis White; and special cousin, Sheila West.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 43 years, Mark Pitts; daughter, Crystal White; grandchildren, Stephanie Bren White, Rodney Colton White and wife Hannah Beth; and numerous other family members.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 3 PM at Catawba Funeral Home with Tim Fox officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 PM – 3 PM at the funeral home.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the organ transplant team at NC Baptist Hospital.
