Born on August 19, 1942 to the late Denver Petitt and Bertie Burdette Petitt in West Virginia.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Brown; son, Donald Gene Petitt; 2 sisters; and 3 brothers.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Lorene Lowe Petitt of the home; daughters, Carla Faye Bryant and Bo of Winona, WV, Sharon Kay Wilson and Mark of Lenoir, Nancy Jean Petitt Foreman and Billie of Covington, OH; sons, Bobby Ray Petitt of Summerville, WV, Ronald Lee Petitt of WV, Brian Clifton Hall and Jennifer of Lenoir, Devonte Deshaun Petitt of KY; 28 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and sister, Frances Conner of Beckley, WV.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. in the yard of Hickory Funeral Home.
