Charlie was a special person to me. A person you just enjoyed being around and listening to and discussing all types of things. It was always a joy to see him when we attended church and he always brought a smile as well as make you smile. I often came upon him at McDonald's in Conover where he sometimes came in, had breakfast and read the paper. The last time I saw him a while back was at McDonald's. He was sitting there reading his paper and I came up and loudly said Hey Charlie which startled him since he was into his reading which made me laugh. Will always remember him and miss him. Barbara and I pray for Carol, Kim and all the family. You were lucky to have him and we were lucky and happy to know him.

Charley supplied parts and engines for several of my on-going automotive projects, and taught me to love BMW cars. Thanks to him, I have owned and enjoyed 3 different (used!) ones.
My world has been better and richer because of having him as a friend.
