Charles Albert Waldron, 77, of Hickory, passed away January 17, 2016 at his residence. Charles was born July 8, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of the late Charles William and Anna Reese Waldron. He retired as a shipping clerk with Shurtape.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Diane Egrie Waldron and a brother, Howard Waldron.
He is survived by sons, John Waldron and wife Shea and Charlie Waldron and wife Abby; daughter, Janet Duncan and husband David; grandchildren, Michael Helms and wife Skye, Austin Waldron, Chase Waldron and Taylor Waldron; great-grandchild, Kaydence Helms; and his beloved dog, Sandy.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Hickory with military rites to precede the service at 4:45 p.m.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. following the service at the funeral home.
