Hickory - Christine Sylvia Ta, 76 of Hickory passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at her home.
Born on March 4, 1946 in Vietnam, she was the daughter of the late Nguyen Van Truong and Nguyen Thi Loan. She was a hardworking, loving mother and wife/friend. She was also a survivor of the Vietnam War.
She and her husband were the first Vietnamese family to settle in Hickory. Her passions were gardening, cooking and playing with her granddaughter. She will dearly missed by everyone she knew.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Sony Ta; a daughter, Anna Tozzi and husband Troy Tozzi; a son, Andrew Ta and wife Hai Ngo; a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Tozzi.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm with Thay (Monk) Thich Phap Binh officiating.
