

She was adopted by the late James Marvin Clay and Ruth Gertrude Hickman in Catawba County. She was a graduate of Hickory High School, and an avid pianist. She played piano in several churches throughout Burke and Catawba County and notably played for her father’s funeral service.
Along with her adoptive parents she was proceeded in death by her sons Michael Marvin Cline, Sidney R. (Bobby) Cline II, her daughter Carmilla Lynn Cline Lortz, her brothers Richard Spears and Marcus Clay, and sister Carolyn M Ripley also proceed her.
Those left to cherish her memory include, her husband Donald (Donnie) Ray Beal of the home, her granddaughter Stephanie Whitehouse Eller (Colin) of Morganton, great granddaughter Tessa Ann Eller of Morganton, and a daughter-in-law Shannon Cline of Conover.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday May 12th, 2026, at 2:00pm at Burke Memorial Park with Rev. Dr. Brad Hinton officiating.
