Newton – Daniel Chamu, 79 of Newton passed away on Sunday, January 26th, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on October 20th, 1945, in China, Daniel was the son of the late Ca Fa Caw and Naleh Lee.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister and two younger brothers.
Those left to cherish his memory include, his wife of 53 years, Nava Chala; his daughters, Rudi Chamu, Nada Reinbold, Nasaw Chang, and Naleh Chamu.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Memorial Park, in the Mausoleum Chapel on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Elisheh officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Catawba Funeral Home prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to CR Mission Fund in Daniel’s name.
