David Allen Young, 68, passed away December 17, 2013 at Frye Regional Medical Center. David was born December 1, 1945 in Burke County to the late Thomas Daniel and Sadie Lail Young. He was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jack Parker. Surviving are his sisters; Rachel Parker of Pensacola, FL and Ruby Young Marvin and husband, Ed of San Antonio, TX and a brother, Billy J. Young and wife, Brenda of Villa Rica, GA. Services will be Saturday, December 21, 2013, at 2:00 P. M. at Shoups Grove Baptist Church with Rev. J. C. Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 – 1:45 P. M. at Shoups Grove Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Edward B. Marvin, Kevin Marvin, Kenny Young, Ricky Hildebran, Todd Roberts and Andrew Dishman. Members of the Shoups Grove Men’s Sunday School class are honorary pallbearers.
