He was born on April 13, 1945 to the late Beeler M. Leonhardt and Lucy Pauline Martin Leonhardt in Cleveland County.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Faulkenbury Leonhardt; son, Robert Dale Leonhardt; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Open Door Baptist Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. at the church. Rev. Shawn Davis will officiate the service.
