I was saddened to hear this news. Deborah was my assistant at Bethlehem Elementary and I loved working with her so much! She was an awesome assistant that cared deeply for the children she worked with. Deborah had a kind heart and was a caring individual that was always willing to help. I want to send my sympathy to her family. Our love and prayers are with you.

She was my daughter Kayleigh's first grade teacher assistant at Bethlehem Elementary. She was a kind and caring person who truly cared about her students. So glad to have known her and for my daughter to have such fond memories of her.

I cherish memories of attending Sunday School as a child at Mt. Bethel with Deborah, especially the years that she and I were in the class taught by her mother. Occasionally she and her family would invite me home for Sunday lunch. It was probably the first times I ever sat at a dining room table. We enjoyed food and fellowship and then a Sunday afternoon drive. On one such afternoon, Deborah and her family drove me to see my first waterfall, Moravian Falls. How very kind the entire family were to me!

Deborah and I also enjoyed going to MYF meetings as teenagers and working together on MYF projects. My favorite? Helping raise sugar cane and making molasses!

I pray that all of Deborah's loved ones will be comforted by resurrection hope in Christ Jesus and encouraged by fond memories.

My memories with Deborah go back - way back - to our preschool days. The Fox family was well known in the community and known by everyone due to May’s beauty shop. That is where we first met and became lifelong friends. Years of being together in School, Bible School, Girl Scouts, pajama parties, sleep overs and birthday parties are happy memories. Deborah was a lifetime friend, a wonderful wife and mother and a great educator. I will miss you but I will smile when I remember our good times together with Mary, Karen, Denise and Renee and our favorite teacher, Mrs. Judy Craig.
