Born March 26, 1964, in Burke County, she was the late Alma Michaels Buckner and Charles Buckner.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother Darrin Buckner.
Debra was currently working for William Sonoma as purchasing agent. Loving wife, mother and sister, she was a caring beautiful soul, who spent her life bringing joy to everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband William Matthew Soots of the home; her sons Billy Smith of Locust, William Buckner of Locust and Matt Soots Jr. of Hickory; her brother Jeff Buckner and wife Stephanie of Charlotte; her father Charles Buckner of Hickory; sister-in-law Theresa Allen and husband Trent of Wilson. and her precious fur baby Bandit.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 9, 2025 from 1:30 pm to 2:45 pm at Hickory Funeral Home. Memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm with Reverend Kevin Corl officiating,
