He was born in Catawba County on December 29, 1955 to the late Wayburn Smith Hare.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his son Bruce Lee Hare, and 4 sisters.
Dennis was employed with HNI for 30 years. He enjoyed camping, boating, lake and family time. He was a loving husband, father and pawpaw, and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis Hare of the home; his sons Trinity Hare and wife Haley of Hickory and Billy Hare and wife Tammy of Connelly Springs; granddaughters Trysten Hare of Hickory and Zoie; grandsons Branden Hare of Hickory, Skyler and Aydan; 1 brother and 4 sisters.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 18, 2022 from 11:30am to 12:45pm at Hickory Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held, Friday, March 18, 2022 at 1:00pm at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tim Grindstaff officiating.
Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
