Wishing the Family the blessing of peace and the comfort of warm memories of Lamar now and in the time ahead. I've had the pleasure of working with Lamar for 13 years here at Catawba County Utilities & Engineering and he will TRULY be missed for sure. Lamar always had such a great spirit and I enjoyed conversation with him every time he came up to visit us in the Administrative Office. His smiling face and joyous personality will truly be missed, but NEVER forgotten.
With Much Love and Sympathy,

Dear Mrs. Coffey and Family,
If you are fortunate, during the course of your life you have someone come into your life that has a profound impact on you. For me, Lamar was one of those. Everyone that had the honor to know him and work with him had those Lamar stories. I had the honor of working with him for 17 years. In fact, after begining my career I almost gave it up. The testing required was overwhelming. It was Lamar who took me under his wing and got me through that years long process. I spoke with a former coworker who now lives in Alabama yesterday and he said it perfectly, " Lamar was a legend". I will forever remember him as the fine man he was. Please accept my most sincere condolences and apologies for being unable to attend his celebration of Life.

Dear Ann And Family,
I was so very saddened to hear of Lamar's passing. I will always remember some of the conversations that we had while at Catawba County Inspection Dept. I can still see Lamar walking into the office and "Sticking out his Chest" before beginning one of his many stories. He was a tremendous asset to Catawba County and me as well. I borrowed his notes several times to study for an exam.
I am so sorry that I can't be at the Service today to express my feelings in person but these are the times we are in right now.
I just wanted to say that Lamar will be missed by all of us that knew him and all of you and family that loved him. Again let me express my sincere condolences and feel free to contact me if there is anything I can help you with.
Sincerely, Joel Herman
