Donald was born November 26, 1934 in Catawba County to the late Cloyd Avery and Eva Leona Bolick Hayworth.
He is survived by his sister Mildred H. Ross of Hickory; nieces Tamara Martin and husband Tracy of Newton and Kimberly Delamarter and husband Robert of Lothian, MD; a nephew Roger Hicks of Hickory and a number of great nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held, Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00am with Reverend Edwin Elmore officiating.
Memorials may be made to Covenant Baptist Church 1031 Rock Barn Road, PO BOX 1133, Conover, NC 28613, where he was a member.
