Donald was born on October 26, 1930 in Catawba County, NC, he was the son of the late Fred Elmore Setzer and Sadie Bell Stillwell Setzer. He was a member of Christ Lutheran in Hickory.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Setzer.
He is survived by his Sons, Rick (Glenda) Setzer and Wayne (Amanda) Setzer; daughter, Judy (Doug) Lamm; brothers, Gary and Harold Setzer; sister, Wilma Hefner; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at Catawba Memorial Park, Funerals & Cremations Monday, January 15, 2018 at 12pm with Pastor Richard Schwandt officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church at 324 2nd Ave SE Hickory, NC 28602.
