Donna Elaine Fox Calloway, 71 of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 28th, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.
Born October 28th, 1953, in Catawba County, NC Donna was the daughter of the late James Curtis and Ella Louise Roper Fox Sheehan.
Donna was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and her family. She enjoyed singing in the choir and was a member of the Hickory Chorale Society for several years. She also loved spending time with family, spoiling her grandchildren, cooking meals and just enjoying each other’s company. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Donna loved teaching others and held a bachelor's degree in special education and a master's degree in higher education. She retired from Caldwell Community College after many years as an Instructor of Cosmetology.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, James Steven Fox who died 11 months old in 1948.
Those left to cherish her memory include 2 sons, Dale Calloway (Joelle) and Curt Calloway (Rebecca), and 6 grandchildren, Skylar, Landen, Lexi, Christian, Pyper and Kolby and her dear friend and ex-husband, Ronnie Calloway
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Saturday, September 6th, 2025, at 11:00 am with Pastor Cory Smith officiating.
The family will receive friends for a brief period after the service.
