Hickory, NC - Donna Beam Goins, 58, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Davis Regional Medical Hospital. She was born in Lincoln County on June 27, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Patsy Towery Dennie and Coy Ray Beam. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her sister Heather Dennie. Donna was employed by Paramount Kia, and spent many years providing at-home care for patients. She was very outgoing, the kind of person who never knew a stranger. Donna had a giving spirit and cared deeply for others. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and she will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by her daughter, Megan Goins of Concord, NC; her son Joseph Goins of Nashville, TN; grandson Jayden Walker of Concord, NC; fiancé Carlton Galliher; father Tommy Dennie; step-mother Debbie Dennie; son-in-law Sean Matthews; niece Lily McLean and nephew JJ McLean. Memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 4:00pm at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Paul Deal officiating. The family will receive friends following service, mask will be required.

Donna,
Well I know you as mom! I love you so much. I still can't believe that you are not physically here with us anymore. But you will always be right beside us in spirit. When just talking to you, you adopted me as your child, and Kendrick as your grandson. When I got the courage to tell Kendrick that his nannie was no longer with us, it broke his heart. Ma, you will always be in our hearts.
