Doris Marie Ollis

HICKORY – Doris Marie Ollis, 83 of Hickory passed away on August 21, 2026.

Doris was born on January 29, 1943 in McDowell County to the late Leonard Calvin and Margaret Hampton Winters. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, Nana, sister, and friend to all who knew her. Doris enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters and great-grandson. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine Ollis, and sister, Brenda Oakes.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Ray Ollis and fiancé Wendi, Brian Ollis and wife Judy; grandchildren, Alexis Ollis, Hannah Ollis, Anna Ollis, Morgan O’Connor, Eric Houston and wife Heather; great-grandchildren, Owen Perez, Hailey Galloway, Madelyn O’Connor; brothers, Joe Winters and wife Karen, Glenn Winters and wife Debbie; sister, Linda Hawn and husband Tony and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 11:30 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 4065 N Center St. Hickory, NC 28601. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 AM – 11:15 AM at the church.
