Dorothy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She was a homemaker and caregiver to her family, children and others children for most of her life.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Kitty Crazire, her husband of 58 years, Fred Junior Hedrick, and son Roger Hedrick. Those who also preceded her in death were her brother’s, Charles and Earl Cazire; sisters, Geneva Shepherd and Louise Tutherow.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children: sons, Allen, Edward and Fred (Donna) Hedrick; daughters, Brenda (Larry) Pannell, Patricia (Bob) Jolly, Sharon Bumgarner; brother, Ralph (Brenda) Cazire. Dorothy also leaves 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren to carry on family lineage and traditions.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Jill DeVeres from Bethlehem Direct Care and Carolina Caring for their services. A special “Thank you” to Kathy Sigmon for her dedication in helping with mothers care. The family also wants to thank a “special aunt,” Betty Hedrick, for being a good friend that stayed in contact with calls, visits, and basic support of Dorothy.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Catawba Memorial Park with Reverend Russell Makant Officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke’s Church on Springs Rd. Hickory and or to Carolina Caring on Robinson Rd. Hickory.
