

DOROTHY “DOT” ISENHOUR CONOVER – Dorothy “Dot” Isenhour 94 of Conover went home to be with her Lord on September 14, 2017 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born on May 7, 1923 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late William Oscar and Ivey Abernathy Hoke. Dot went to Faith Lutheran Church for most of her life and for the last three years she attended Tri-City Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a foster mother. Dot enjoyed gardening, crafts, cooking and word search books. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years; PFC-1 WW II Veteran Dennis Paul Isenhour; her sisters, Vernelle Hood, Margie Fisher, and brother, James Hoke. Survivors her children, SPEC 4 Paul Isenhour and wife Linda of Conover, Lee Isenhour and wife Donna of Conover, Morris Isenhour and wife Janie of Newton, Wanda Lingerfelt and Jimmy of Newton; grandchildren, Shellie Reid, Kellie Morrison, Barett Isenhour, Shon Isenhour, Heather Silva, Leda Schnieder, Scott Isenhour; great-grandchildren, Katie Reid, Savannah Reid, Cassidy Reid, Brandon Morrison, Dylan Morrison, Tristan Isenhour, Cole Isenhour, Madison Isenhour, and Paul Schnieder. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 11 AM at Tri-City Baptist Church with Dr. Ed Yount and Pastor Byron Repass officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10-10:45 AM at Tri-City Baptist Church.
