Dorothy Herman Thompson Rozzelle, 93 of Lincolnton, NC has borne her cross and climbed the mountain to join the Lord Jesus on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at the Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on December 4th, 1932, in Catawba County, NC, Dorothy was the daughter of the late Robert and Bessie Herman. Dorothy was loved by her family and will be dearly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Rozzelle; her children, Jewel Thompson, James Thompson Jr., and Willie Thompson, as well as 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Gloria Thompson; her three sisters, one brother, and multiple grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Friday June 5, 2026, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Dr. Gregory Dry officiating. She will be laid to rest at Catawba Memorial Park following the service.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
