Douglas Michael Bowen

Doug is survived by his baby sister, Dawn Holly Burdi, his 3 children, Kira Witherspoon, Jaclyn Atwell, and Carl Bowen, and his 7 grandchildren, George, Hannah, Hailey, Jeffrey, Trinity, Morgan, and Max.

Doug was a meat cutter by trade at IGA/Lowes food stores, but a carpenter at heart. He loved his family and friends very much and was the type of guy that would give you the shirt off of his back or the last dollar in his wallet. He was an animal lover and will be missed by his dog, Bandit, and his cat, Alex.

A drop-in memorial service has been scheduled for Sunday, March 8th, 2015 from 3pm-6pm. It will be held at Berea Baptist Church off of Highway 150 in Mooresville. All are welcome to come and share stories and celebrate the life of our dad.

In lieu of flowers, Pop wanted donations sent to Hospice of Iredell County and/or the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. A special thanks to the angels of hospice who made Pop's last months and final hours the absolute best that they could be with their exceptional love and care.
