Mr. Edward Dean Lawrence, 85, of Newton, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at his home.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ruby Lawrence of the home; daughters, Jackie Lawrence of Connelly Springs, Gayle Rogerson and husband Charles of South Carolina, Deanna Reinhardt of Connelly Springs, Donna Lawrence of the home; granddaughter, Stacy Jeter and husband Zach; great grandsons, Kai and Kallan; sister, Margaret Lawrence Caldwell and husband Donald; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1: 00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Nicholas Wilson will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Oak Ridge Baptist Church, Building Fund, 7449 Oak Ridge Church Rd., Connelly Springs, NC 28612.
