Elayne "Esther" Cohen

Elayne “Esther” Cohen passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Frye Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on May 7th, 1961, in Ontario, Canada, Elayne was the daughter of Bernard Wolkove and Martha Kravitz Wolkove. Elayne was a devoted and loving wife. She was an incredibly caring, compassionate, kind and patient mother, daughter and friend. She was always willing to drop everything and go for the people she loved. The world truly lost a beautiful soul on that Tuesday evening. She was loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her father, Bernie Wolkove and granddaughter, Serenity Cohen.

Those left to cherish her memory include, her husband of 42 years, Stuart Michael Cohen; her mother, Martzi Wolkove; 2 sons, Shawn Cohen and Cory Cohen and wife, Jennifer; 3 grandchildren, Kailey, Samuel and Dean, as well as a granddaughter on the way, Sophia Cohen.

A Graveside Service will be held at Catawba Memorial Park on Sunday, February 16th, 2025, at 10:30 am.
