She was the daughter of the late Charles Dilly and Ruby Gladys Epley Sluder. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Charles Sluder.
Susie will be remembered as a beloved presence whose compassionate spirit and kind-hearted nature touched those who had the privilege of knowing her. In the quiet ways that matter most—through steady care, gentle understanding, and sincere regard for others—she offered comfort and warmth that will not be forgotten.

She is survived by her sister Cathy Beeker of Hickory; her nephew James Billings of Hickory and her niece Mary Kerns of Hickory.
