Emma Jean Barber Brown

Emma was born April 22, 1936 in Catawba Co. to the late Ivey and Beulah Killian Barber. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Frank Brown.

She was a member of Highland Baptist Church and retired from Adams Millis Hosiery Mill.

Surviving are her daughters, Teresa Link and husband, Tommy, of Conover and Jennifer Moretz and husband, Dennis, of Conover; a son, Darrell Brown of the home; grandchildren, Ryan Link and wife, Jeana, Brandon Link and wife, Brandi, Stephanie Garrison and husband, Gabe, Jeremy Brown, Jordan Moretz and Amanda Moretz; great granddaughters, Mackenzie Maples and Tabitha Garrison; sisters, Virginia Price and husband, Ralph, of Hickory and Ruth Voorhees of Hickory; a brother, Nile Barber and wife, Virginia, of Hickory and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday, June 9, at 11:00 A. M. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jesse Lott, Reverend Kenny Robison and Reverend Charlie Sisti officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home.
