

Lester was born January 1, 1928 in Catawba Co. to the late Joseph Lester and Laura Ward Fulbright. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elva Pauline Fulbright and a great grandson, Axel Chaney.
Lester was a retired truck driver for Yellow Freight and a veteran of the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Lester loved to garden, riding his tractor at his home place in Vale and sharing his fruits of his labor with his family and friends.
Surviving are his son, Ricky Fulbright and wife, Kathy of Charlotte; daughters, Sharon Pike and husband, Jimmy of Fuquay Varina and Brenda Hunt and husband, Mike of Asheboro;6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Hickory Funeral Home.
Services will be Wednesday, Oct. 14, at 1:00 PM at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Mahaffey officiating. Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park with military honors conducted by American Legion Post #48.
Special thanks to Trinity Village and their compassionate care givers and his special adopted daughters. Lester will lovingly be remembered as the “Tomato Man” of Trinity Village.
