Jessie, Cindy, Kevin, Mark, Diana, and all the family:
Evelene was my very best friend all our teen years. We spent so much time going places and doing things together especially in the summer time. I remember all those wonderful-happy times. Since we were country girls, we decided to go squirrel hunting one summer. We didn't come home with any thing to brag about but we sure had fun walking through those mountains trying to see a squirrel. I imagine those unseen squirrels were laughing at those two very inexperienced hunters who forgot not to be laughing and giggling like other hunters. As our eyes searched the tree tops seeing nothing move but the leaves on the trees, we headed home happy to say we girls went squirrel hunting.

Seriously though, Evelene was a loyal friend. I could trust her with any secret. I remember her wonderful smile, her joyous laughter, and her warm friendly way always showing her care for others. Her loving character was passed down to her children to her sons and her daughters. The boys were sweet and kind like their mom. My family was so blessed to share years of fellowship with Cindy and Jessie at WEO Church and WEO Sunday School. You girls are precious to us. We love all of you and we are praying for you. Evelene was a true friend: a Special Friend, kind and caring, and will never be forgotten.
With love,
Della Mae McCoy Prater
