

HICKORY - Evelyn Louise Bolick Campbell of Conover peacefully went to be with her Jesus after a brief illness Tuesday morning surrounded by her family, she was 84 years 8 months old. She was born May 16th, 1928 to Lawrence Baxter Bolick and Edith Carlton Bolick. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Robert Lawrence Bolick, George Truitt Bolick and sister, Betty Bolick Hollar.
She is survived by husband of 70 years l0 months, Fred (Pat) Campbell, Jr., of the home; daughter, Martha Campbell Propst and husband, David, of Conover; granddaughters, Lynne Propst Carpenter and husband, Kevin, of Conover, Trina Propst Sampson and husband, Daniel, of Colfax; grandson, Paul Edwin Propst and wife, Dawn, of Lenoir; great granddaughter, Chelsie Simone Propst of Madison, Wisconsin, great grandsons, Dalton and David Carpenter of Conover, Justin and Dylan Sampson of Colfax.
She is also survived by special extended family, Thelma Wolf, Jan Plott and Cindy and Roddy Anderson of Winston Salem, Debbie Wolf of Newton, Kim and Leonard Houston of Lake Wylie, Becky Kirby of Atlanta, Ga. And David and Shelia Wolf of Durham. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many cousins in the area. She is going to be missed greatly by her special friend, Josephine Whitener of Hickory.
Evelyn has been a long time member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church, Mo Synod of Hickory, where she was a very active member and served on many committees. She held offices in the LWML and her circle. She was very faithful with her card ministry to the sick and shut-in members of her church.
Evelyn’s service will be on Sunday, January the 20th at 3:00 PM at St. Stephens Lutheran Church, Mo Synod, Springs Rd., Hickory.
The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 until 2:45 PM on Sunday before the service at the church. Rev. David Guelzow and Rev. David Ziehr will conduct the service. Special participation in the service will include grandson, Paul Propst, great grandchildren, Chelsie Propst and Dalton Carpenter. Readings will be by David Wolf and Paul Sharpe, Jr.,
Pall Bearers will be great grandsons, Dalton and David Carpenter, Justin and Dylan Sampson, grandsons-in-law, Kevin Carpenter and Daniel Sampson.
Burial will be in the church cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Stephens Lutheran Church in memory of Evelyn.
