She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dominic Dell’Aquila, and her nephew Joey Arrington.
Frances is survived by her children: daughter Natalie Gray; son Brian Gray and his wife Natalie G. Gray; and son Sam Gray.
Frances grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, the second of seven siblings, and later settled in Hickory, which she proudly made her home. She was known for her independence and tenacity, qualities that left a lasting impression on those who knew her. Frances held the Catawba Humane Society close to her heart, especially through her adoption of her beloved dog, Buck, who brought her great comfort and companionship.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Catawba Humane Society. In accordance with Frances’s wishes, there will be no public service.
