September 23, 2026. Born on October 2, 1942, to Guy Alvah Logan and Mae Augusta Logan, he grew up in Hickory and graduated from Claremont Central High School (Hickory High School).
Frank was a devout family man, known for his dedication as a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved watching his family grow and was immensely proud of all of them and their accomplishments.
Frank was a hard-working man and began his career at Superior Cable in 1961. Over the course of his 41-year career at CommScope, he was a successful and respected businessman. When he retired, he was the Executive Vice President of the International Cable Division at CommScope. During his career, Frank enjoyed all of his travels. Two of his favorite places to travel and explore were Japan and Australia—he was fascinated by the cultures and loved the countries and people.
Frank loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycles around curvy mountain roads and made many cross-country rides out West. He deeply loved his dogs and enjoyed frequently going for walks and car rides with them. Frank was always fascinated with astronomy and excited about rare astronomical events and stargazing.
Frank was preceded in death by his father, Guy Alvah Logan, and his mother, Mae Augusta
Logan. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Mary Ann Logan; children, Beth (Lee), Susan, and Tom; grandchildren, Christopher “Chris”, Jonathan, Nicole (Isaac), Mary Kathryn (Ezra), and Carlee; great-grandchildren, Beckett, Baylor, Kathryn, Mary Claire, and Livvy; sister, Betty Smith; niece, Robyn; nephew, Eric; and numerous cousins.
A receiving will be held on October 17th at 11:30 a.m., at Hickory Funeral Home. A celebration of life will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Wes Hammer officiating.
Following the service, an inurnment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Lee Bethea, Chris Saunders, Jonathan Bethea, Isaac Hammer, and Ezra Messer.

ASPCA—two organizations that Frank passionately believed in—or a charity of your choice.
