He was born on April 2, 1952 to Jimmie W. Leatherman and the late Margaret H. Leatherman in Catawba County. Gary loved the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, watching the race, and listening to beach music are just a few of his favorite things he enjoyed in life.
Survivors include his son, Ashton Leatherman of Charlotte; and father, Jimmie W. Leatherman of Hickory.
Services for Gary will be held at a later date.
