TERRELL – Gary Reeves Smith 53, of Terrell passed away on July 8, 2025.
Born on August 3, 1971 in Catawba County to Reid and Shirley Harrell Smith. Gary loved Hot Rods, dogs and horses and model cars. He loved to joke and cut up with his family. Gary enjoyed working in the yard with his flowers and going to the beach. He was a great cook and enjoyed eating.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Sheila Bobbitt Smith and great-niece, Taitlyn Grace Smith.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Reid and Shirley Smith; sister, Kim Miller and husband Perry; nephews, Darrenn Bradshaw, Taylor Smith and wife Ashley; great-nephew, Ford Bradshaw; great-nieces, Nova Smith, Scarlett Smith, Della Smith, Alyvia Simmons, and Ava Simmons.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at his mother’s home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catawba County Humane Society.
