George Yawtha Chang, 78, of Hickory, NC went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 16th, 2025, at his residence.
Born on October 29th, 1946, in China. He was the son of the late Joseph Yawtha Chang and Daw Ah Deu Chang. George was a great musician and was the former choir director at Lahu Baptist Church in Visalia, California. He was also a master craftsman and loved woodworking. He was loved by his family and will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, George is preceded in death by his stepson, Jathor Saesee and his daughter, Na Hpeu.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 50 years, Na Ti Saesee; his son, Jeffrey Chang and wife Nasaw; his daughter, Jeamjai Nashaw and her husband, Pramote; his stepson, Jims Lo and wife, Shuqing Lo; his stepdaughter, Na Pou and husband, Laoher Saeyang.
A Memorial Service may be held at his residence 3544 6th St Dr NW, Hickory, NC 28601 on Saturday, May 24th, 2025, at 3:00 pm.
