Newton – Glenn Alexander Sumpter, 59 of Newton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
Born on May 26, 1962 in Catawba County, NC, Glenn was the son of Robert “Bob” Glenn Sumpter and the late Margaret Rudisill Sumpter. Glenn’s passion was the great outdoors, he loved hunting and fishing. He will be dearly missed by his family as well as his hunting buddies who often called him “Round Man”
Glenn is survived by his father, Robert Glenn “Bob” Sumpter; his girlfriend, Kathy Bolick; a sister, Amie Bristow.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Catawba Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with Pastor Gavin Mize officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
