He was born on April 20, 1951 to the late Howard and Irene Gantt in Catawba County. Greyland loved the outdoors. He loved to fish and tinker around the house. Greyland loved his family and his sweet dogs, who he considered his children.
Along with his parents, his sisters, Nancy Killian and Judi White, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his son, Jody Gantt and wife Leslie of Bluffton, SC; 3 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Earnest Richards will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
