Gurney Douglas Bowman

Gurney Douglas Bowman, 73 of Mooresville, NC went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 3rd, 2025, at Lake Norman Regional Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on February 14th, 1952, in Guilford County, NC, Douglas was the son of the late Gurney and Vercelle Reynolds Bowman. Doug was a loving husband, a creative artist, hardworking and a faithful servant of the Lord. Doug was loved by his family and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his father Gurney Bowman

Those left to cherish his memory include, his wife of 47 years, Aliesa Liverett Bowman, son Kyle Douglas Bowman (wife Katie) and grandchildren, Eli, Henry, Jack, Peter and Ila Bowman. Mother Vercelle Bowman, sister Debbie Mercer (husband Jeff) and brother Terry Bowman (wife Karen) and his sister-in-law, Pam Stanek and husband, Harold.

A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Bat Cave, NC or Spokes of Hope Hopeful Restoration Group INC in Douglas’ name.
