In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Madeline Townsend Stafford; sister, Elizabeth Hansen and her husband, Ron.
He is survived by his daughter, Janet Jordan and her husband, Steve; granddaughter, Jennifer Castro and husband, Rafael; great-grandson, Lucian Castro; nephews Nathan Hansen ( Jennifer) and Lars Hansen(Martina); 4 great nephews and 1 great niece.
A funeral service will be 10:30 am Saturday morning at The Chapel Church, 410 26th Ave. NE, Hickory, with Dr. Dale Watts officiating. Burial will follow at Teague Mundy Family Cemetery, Taylorsville.
The family will receive prior to the service from 9:30-10:15 am.
