When I got the news that my grandpa passed away, I was in lunch, and I feel like that’ll be something that always sticks with me. But I know that the memories him and I had will over power the worst one, his death. Like when he would wink at me and then I’d wink back and he’d act like he was blushing and smile, or when he would sing to me and asked me to sing and I didn’t because I thought I was bad, or when I had to work on a project for English class in 8th grade and I got to interview him about his life. I still have the project and it’s just nice to still have apart of him in my life still. I will miss him and I do miss him very much. He meant the world to me and was just the sweetest man I’ve known and I could never ask for a better grandpa in my life. And everyone was very patient with him while he was sick and my grandma Velvia was the most patient. He wouldn’t want to eat his little portions of food that grandma fixed for him but she’d make sure he’d eat something and drink his Inures. It’s been a sad couple days after but I remember walking home from the bus on the same day he passed after school, and it was nice out and I looked up and felt him smiling down on me. He said to me that he was proud of me and I think the only thing I’d want to say to him if he was still here is that I love him.

Harry had the most beautiful blue eyes you've ever seen. He was a good and generous soul. He just radiated light from within. I remember being a rebellious teenager and he reached out to me through our mutual love of music. He was just always so pleasant to be around. Seemed to always have a smile. I have fond memories eating out and listening to live country music with Mom & Dad and Harry & Velvia at Smokey Creek BB-Q. He will be missed. Prayers for my sweet Aunt Velvia and the whole family. 💙🙏
