Hazel Johnson "J.G." Hodges

She was born May 31, 1921 in Caldwell Co. to the late Ila Johnson. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husbands, J. D. Gaines and Robert Hodges; sister, Morene Watts and a brother, Boyd Johnson.

She was an active member and sang in the choir of Faith Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ in Brookford, NC, retired from Spainhour’s in Hickory. She moved to Myrtle Beach and attended First United Methodist Church. She loved her family and friends.

Surviving are a daughter, Janice D. Hodges, of the home, niece and nephews, Darryl Johnson of Cheaspeake, Va, Tommy Johnson of Kannapolis, NC and Joyce Lewis of Hickory.

Services will be Friday, May 24, at 1:00 P. M. at Faith Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ, Brookford with Rev. Dr., Harry Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Thursday at Hickory Funeral Home from 6:30 -7:30 P. M.
