Hazel Franceline Reinhardt Younce, 95,went into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born April 28, 1923 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Luther Quincy Reinhardt and Swannie Mae Canipe Reinhardt. A member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church (LCMS) she was a homemaker. Hazel loved bowling and was a member of a league at Colonial Lanes in Hickory for many years. She also was an avid golfer. Her family was special to her and loved the time they spent together.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Younce; daughter Janice M. Costa; sister, Frances Hilton; and brothers, Norman and Paul Reinhardt.
Hazel is survived by her son, Allen N. Younce and wife Vicky of Hickory; daughter, Susan D. Standley of FL; sisters, Helen Reinhardt Cline and husband, Fred of Asheville and Dorothy Reinhardt Barringer of Hickory; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018 at St. Stephens Lutheran Church (LCMS) in Hickory with Rev. David Guelzow officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 10: 45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
