

TAYLORSVILLE Mary Helen Honeycutt Little, 93, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Trinity Village after a period of declining health. Helen was born Oct. 18, 1920 in Catawba County, to the late Alfred and Bennie Huffman Honeycutt. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Alexander Little Sr; a son, Lewis Little; and one brother and six sisters. She was a lifelong member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. She retired as secretary from Consolidated Appliance. Surviving are a daughter, Libby Pharr and husband, Eugene of Claremont; a son, Alex Little and wife, Sharon of Hickory; a daughter-in-law, Brenda H. Little of Hickory; three granddaughters, Denise Hoover and husband, Eric of Hickory, Paula Pennell of Hickory, Deidre South of Lenoir; two grandsons, Chip Little and wife, Dana of Claremont and Todd Little and wife, Lisa of Hiddenite; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Gelene Honeycutt of Hickory; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday, March 21, at 11 a.m. at St. Stephens Lutheran Church-Missouri-Synod with the Revs. David Guelzow and David Ziehr officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
