I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Whisnant's passing. The Whisnant family's name was a houshold word when I was growing up. My dad had the group life and health insurance, so he got to know everyone very well.

My thoughts are with your family during this time.

Dear Sylvia,

We were deeply saddened by Hoke's passing. The memories of those good times in Myrtle Beach and Hickory came flooding back. We got to know one another well, training together at Great Lakes Naval Training Center in Dental Prosthetics and then practicing our skills with the Fleet Marine Force, 4th Dental Company at Camp LeJeune. We shared a dorm room for the last twelve months of my service. What a sweet guy he was, soft-spoken and generous I was so grateful that we were able to reconnect after fifty-eight years. He will truly be missed. Our prayers remain with you and your family. We will keep in touch.

Sylvia we were saddened upon hearing about Hoke. I drove the tanker for three years for Hickory Fuel Co. Earnest E. would ride along to Charlotte to load up fuel and many times Hoke would ride along also . We would stop and eat at the Historic House on the river for supper. We all had Great times working with the company. May our LORD Bless you Hoke and hold you close and Love you and keep you Forever and Ever Amen
