

Born in Catawba County on October 28, 1939, he was the son of the late Holland Leroy and Essie Mathis Isenhour
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters Bonnie Deitz, Louise Sigmon, and Barbara Dellinger, and brothers Hansen Hedrick, Everette Hedrick, and James Isenhour.
Dean was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church ELCA, and owner/operator of D&L Grocery.
He is survived by his wife Anita Isenhour of the home; children Deanna Bradshaw (Mark) of Conover, John Isenhour of Hickory, and Susan Hemphill (Todd) of Taylorsville; grandchildren Caroline, Noah, and Kaitlin Bradshaw, Crystal Dollarhyde, Johnathan and Matthew Isenhour, Chasidy Bean (Tim), Chad Hemphill (Jessica) Chelsey Weikle (Kaleb), Caleb Hemphill (Emma), Conner Hemphill, step-grandson Andrew Hefner (Ginni); numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and special friends Larry and Linda Bradshaw, Gina York, Margaret Laws.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 15, 2021 from 11:00am to 11:45am at St. Stephens Lutheran Church ELCA.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 12:00pm at St. Stephens Lutheran Church ELCA with Reverend Richard Graf officiating.
Burial will follow in church cemetery.
