IRMA CLEO VICKERS CROWELL Hickory – Irma Cleo Vickers Crowell, 87, of Hickory, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Trinity Ridge Nursing Home of Hickory surrounded by her family. Irma was born on May 19, 1935 in Woodruff, SC to the late Iron Theodore and Edith Gaddis Vickers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles, and daughter-in-law, Nikki (wife of Chuck). Those left to cherish her memory include, three children, Lynn Kevitt (Dennis), Lynette Stoker, Chuck (Charles II) Crowell; six grandchildren, Joshua Stoker (Ana), Jordan Beucler (Greg), Abbey Crowell, Hannah Kevitt, Rebekah Kevitt and Trey (Charles III) Crowell; three great grandchildren, Raegan, Ryleigh and Ethan Beucler; her brother, Ronnie Vickers, and beloved sister-in-law, Prebble Jane MacTaggart (Ed); and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Catawba Funeral Home on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 4:00 pm with Dr. Rodney Vickers, nephew of Irma, officiating. She will be laid to rest at Catawba Memorial Park on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carolina Caring Catawba Valley Hospice and Trinity Ridge of Hickory.
