Jackson Alexander Logan

Jackson Alexander Logan went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 23, 2026 in Pfafftown, NC, while visiting his Nana's family farm ("Rosewood"), which he lovingly called his "happy place."

Jackson was born on November 26, 1998 in Hickory, NC to Mark and Maria Logan. He was a 2017 graduate of Fred T. Foard High School and a 2021 Summa Cum Laude graduate of North Carolina State University. While at NCSU, Jackson became a proud member of Chi Psi Fraternity, establishing life-long friendships and serving as his chapter’s Academic Chair, Public Relations Chair, and Alpha Editor. He was also a member of the Order of Omega Honor Society and the Pre-Law Students’ Association. While at NCSU, Jackson developed a passion for the study of law and attended Wake Forest University’s pre-law classes the summer after his freshman year. He later served as an intern with the Trial Court Administrator’s Office and the NC Republican Party. His love for Raleigh truly ran deep, so much so, that he moved back there last year following a brief time out of state.

Jackson was accepted into the Wake Forest School of Law and began his academic career there in 2021, graduating with his Juris Doctor in 2024. While at Wake Forest, Jackson had the pleasure of serving on the Trial Team and the Wake Forest Journal of Business and Intellectual Property, Wake Forest Law Review, and in the Federalist Society. He also was privileged to serve as a judicial intern at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, as a law clerk at several different NC firms, and a summer associate in Orlando, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, David and Ethel Logan, and his maternal grandfather, Henry Andrews. Jackson is survived by his parents, Mark and Maria Logan, of Hickory; his brother, Grant Logan and his wife, Morgan, also of Hickory; and his Nana, Glenda Andrews, of Pfafftown, NC. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles (Kelly Upshaw, Gordon Logan, Krista Schuck, and Tim Schuck), cousins (Bronte Upshaw, Joe Upshaw, Amelia Upshaw, Matthew Logan, Logan Schuck, and Joshua Schuck), and many other close family members and friends, including Nancy Bowker, who Jackson considered his “adopted grandma.”

When his friends, supervisors, and co-workers heard of Jackson’s passing, he was described as a man of integrity, loyal, kind, easy-going, sweet, funny, welcoming, a team player, and truly one of a kind. Jackson was loved by all and will be forever missed!

A celebration of life honoring Jackson will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Providence Baptist Church in Vale, NC (7618 Providence Church Rd., Hickory, NC 28602) with Pastor Chris Dale officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00pm, with the service to begin at 3:00 pm.
